ShipStation UPS Labels for Amazon HAZMAT Cartons

Overview / Situation

Shipping HAZMAT to Amazon FBA is different. Amazon often restricts label purchases for hazardous materials, forcing teams to buy UPS labels manually and chase down tracking later. That creates delays, errors, and compliance risk.

ShipmentBot connects ShipStation to your FBA inbound flow so you can purchase UPS labels per carton, automatically deliver those labels to your supplier along with FBA content labels, and upload tracking numbers back to Amazon—all with minimal clicks.

Situation

  • Are your HAZMAT shipments blocked from using Amazon Partnered Carrier labels?
  • Do suppliers ask for UPS labels separate from FBA box content labels?
  • Is tracking upload to Amazon a manual, error-prone step today?
  • Do you lack a single email that includes PO + FBA labels + UPS labels?

Problem

  • Manual UPS label purchases slow down HAZMAT shipments
  • Split channels for labels (FBA content vs. carrier) confuse suppliers
  • Tracking often isn’t uploaded on time, impacting check-in visibility
  • Teams burn hours coordinating documents and re-sending files

Implication

  • Delayed check-ins and missed FBA windows impact sell-through and rankings
  • Increased risk of ASN discrepancies and compliance issues
  • Higher support load from suppliers needing “the right” labels
  • Real cost in team hours and opportunity cost from slower restocks

Need-Payoff

  • Consolidate label workflows: one automated process for HAZMAT cartons
  • Faster label delivery to suppliers = faster handoff to carriers
  • Automatic tracking upload to Amazon improves visibility and compliance
  • Save hours per week and reduce back-and-forth on every shipment

Feature Highlights

  • UPS label purchase via ShipStation for each HAZMAT carton (UPS Walleted by default)
  • Per-carton labels merged into a per-shipment “Carrier Label” PDF
  • Supplier email includes PO + FBA content labels + Carrier labels
  • Automatic upload of UPS tracking numbers to Amazon SP-API
  • Works within your existing Inbound Plan workflow

Important: We do not purchase special hazmat services or upload SDS/MSDS to carriers. Labels are standard UPS Ground. You are responsible for verifying your products can ship via ground and for properly identifying and labeling cartons per carrier and regulatory requirements.
